The Knights Templar is not anti-Islamic

but will defend against the oppression of fundamentalists

The Knights Templar weren’t and aren’t anti-Islamic. It is the aggression of individuals or the oppression of others demonstrated in Islam’s name that the Knights Templar fight against.

The Knights Templar were always a defensive force and a force of protection. If a man from the Islamic faith takes up arms or acts of terror against any Christian, a Templar is duty bound to defend. This does not make them anti-Islamic. If a man took up arms or acts of terror against any unarmed man, woman or child, a Templar would be duty bound to defend. If a man walks into a Mosque carrying automatic munitions with the intent to harm any innocent man, woman or child, a Templar would be duty bound to defend. There is a well-known saying; "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.” This saying is often misquoted from Edmund Burke and used as anti-Islamic rhetoric. A Templar is, by definition, anti-evil but it is the evil that lurks in the hearts of men and not based on the religion they believe in. Burke said, “When bad men combine, the good must associate; else they will fall, one by one, an unpitied sacrifice in a contemptible struggle.” The Knights Templar is a community of good men (and women) working together as one force against the evil intent of others.
